Jump Starting EU Security Requirements with Data Discovery and Classification
Watch this brief presentation, "Jump Starting EU Security Requirements with Data Discovery and Classification," by Todd Feinman, CEO of Spirion and Scott Giordano.

This presentation discusses the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) now law which applies to nearly all multinationals, their business partners and 3rd parties, regardless of EU physical presence. One challenging aspect is the expansive definition of personal data – it includes a wide definition of "online identifiers".

The presenters discuss how Data Discovery and Classification (DDC) is one way to effectively identify personal data throughout the enterprise, classify it according to its sensitivity, and apply controls that meet EU standards.
